The 19th District Steering Committee is hosting the Annual Police Appreciation Day on Friday, June 14, 2013, at the station at 850 W. Addison. On this day residents, businesses and community groups come together to show their gratitude to the staff of the new combined 19th District Police for Police Appreciation Day.
Over the years many of you volunteered your time, talent and resources of food or money. These donations enabled us to organize this marvelous event. Will you please repeat your generosity again this year to thank our neighborhood’s police staff?
All of our staff are out in the street and in the station behind-the-scenes, doing often a thankless and dangerous job. We show our appreciation for their police work on Police Appreciation Day by serving all staff a meal or snacks during their respective shifts with donations from area restaurants and the community. We are looking for in kind donations of pop, water, juice, hamburgers, buns, hot dogs, salad, pasta, chicken wings, desserts and ice. We hope you will donate to this event with a monetary or in kind donation. All funds raised are used for the day.
Please make checks payable to the 19rd District Steering Committee and mail to 19th District Steering Committee c/o Greg Rohner, 850 W. Cornelia, #202, Chicago, Ill. 60657 by May 25, 2013. We will make arrangements to pick up donated items. Feel free to contact Jennifer Dedes at Jdedes@cubs.com or call 773-404-4027 if you have any questions or need more information.
